At The Whittaker Family Foundation, we believe that what is planted early has the power to shape generations. The Seed Scholarship was created as an extension of our mission to equip young people with the tools, mindset, and support needed to build a strong financial and personal foundation as they transition into adu
We recognize that many students, especially those from single-parent households, carry both responsibility and potential, often navigating life with limited resources but limitless drive. This scholarship is designed to meet them at that intersection.
More than a financial award, the Seed Scholarship represents belief. Belief in their future, their discipline, and their ability to create something greater than their current circumstances. It reinforces the importance of financial literacy, intentional decision-making, and living with purpose. Values that are at the core of everything we do. By investing in these students, we are not just supporting education; we are helping to cultivate leaders who will break cycles, build legacy, and ultimately pour back into their families and communities.
This is why the Seed Scholarship matters. It’s not just about where students are going. It’s about who they are becoming and the impact they will make along the way.

The Whittaker Family Foundation is honored to announce the recipients of the 2025 Seed Scholarship: Azaicha Jean-Baptiste and Sharod Ford Jr. Each scholar is awarded $2,500 to support their continued education. Education imparts essential life skills and helps each scholar hone their unique talents—enabling them to pay it forward and contribute to society.
Congratulations, Azaicha and Sharod—this honor is well deserved. You truly represent the values we hold dear: faith, perseverance, leadership, and service. We believe these seeds are planted in good soil, and in due season, they will grow and be fruitful.
We celebrate your journey today and look forward to next year’s submissions!
We had the honor to sow seeds into some extraordinary young men and their continued education, as they enter college. Our Director, Maria Gonzalez represented us well. Thanks to Gentlemen's Quest and Tavis Myrick for extending an olive branch for us to partner.
